One thing that will be different is how we handle authentication. Static hosting sites (like Vercel, Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Netlify, and others) are battle-tested, inexpensive, but more importantly, they are extremely fast and play well with CDNs. This model has several advantages when it comes to hosting. Once the "shell" has been served, the client side will call the necessary APIs (carrying the user information), fetch user-specific content, and update the page: The Vercel dashboard is one of the best examples out there of how this could look: The generated HTML could be the shell of your application - think of this shell as your application's header and footer. You can use this technique to generate complete websites as static sites, like a company public front page, or when creating an "admin dashboard". You can use this generated output to deploy your site to any static hosting service, such as Vercel, Amazon S3, or Netlify. You can run the next build & next export command to generate HTML files for each page that supports it. Next.js allows you to generate a standalone static application without needing a Node.js server. Now that we understand where and when our application might require authentication let's explore the authentication strategies you can implement for different Next.js deployment models. When your application calls an API hosted outside of your Next.js application on behalf of the user: from to billing. When accessing a Next.js API route: /api /my /invoices When you're building a Next.js application, you may need authentication in the following cases: What Does Authentication Mean For Next.js? In this blog post, we'll explore those Next.js use cases, explain their architecture, and define the strategy you can use to implement authentication for each one. There are different ways to build and deploy Next.js applications. If you want to optimize for fast cold starts and improve the reliability and scalability of your application, you need to shift to the serverless deployment model. And while you could technically use Express in your Next.js application, it will make all performance improvements fade away. One example is Passport, which depends on the availability of Express. Next.js blurs the line between frontend and backend, making the existing ecosystem suboptimal if you want to use Next.js to its full potential. js? Or new ones such as the Auth0 React SDK or Express OpenID Connect? But why is that?Ĭan't we use any of the tools that we've been using for so long in React and Node.js, such as passport or auth0. Providing a solution to support authentication in Next.js was one of the most requested features in the platform. If you are new to Next.js and want to learn how to use this framework to build full-stack Jamstack applications, check out the video playlist below by James Quick: New Tools, New Challenges The Next.js showcase confirms the success of the framework, which companies big and small use to build their applications, including Netflix, Scale.ai, Marvel, Jet, and even Auth0. The framework focuses on performance and out-of-the-box support for Server-Side Rendering (SSR). Next.js is a minimalist framework for building single-page JavaScript applications in a simple yet customizable way.

I would probably never ever retrain this card. You’ll note that SPD + FLD = 14 here, which is definitely better than the +18 as shown above. That point holds this back from being considered an excellent training. But, you’ll also note that SPD + FLD = 18, which is a little high for my taste. You’ll note that POW is #1, EYE is #2, and CON is #3. What distinguishes good from great to excellent? Here are some examples: And in order for it to be great, you want all of your Special Training going to the left side (CON/POW/EYE). Given these, in order for a training to be good, POW needs to be 1st or 2nd. (2) In some order, contact and eye are the second and third most important attributes (1) Power is the most important attribute We should start with two very simple premises on which we should all agree: The point of training is to get your limited distribution points (57 prior to ST, 77 including ST) to the right places. This is the whole point of level reset tickets in the first place. Level Reset Tickets aren’t anywhere close to limitless, but they shouldn’t necessarily be a stumbling block. If you farm, coins/points are essentially free/limitless. The simple answer is coins/points (whatever you call them) and level reset tickets. The answer to this question is both simple and incredibly complicated. So, feel free to take all of this with a grain of salt and/or not follow it to the letter. I should preface everything that follows by saying that I’ve been referred to, jokingly, as a bit of a training Nazi. Excellent training can set you apart and help your deck stand out! In the long run, all Yankees decks will have roughly the same players all Dodgers decks will have the same players, etc. Training players is amongst the most important things you can do in this game. The L trim is well-equipped, and it comes standard with features such as automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, height-adjustable front seats, Bluetooth, OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker audio system. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available on all but the base L model. A more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter engine (252 hp, 260 lb-ft) is optional and comes standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The standard engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder (170 horsepower, 203 lb-ft of torque) matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. Notably, we picked the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox with 2.0T engine as one of Edmunds' Fastest SUVs for 2019. The new Ford Escape is also worth a look and offers more powertrain choices than any other vehicle in the class. The Mazda CX-5 is a pleasure to drive and, like the Equinox, has a powerful optional motor. If you're in the market for a crossover with fewer drawbacks, consider the Honda CR-V, which has more cargo and passenger room, plus a more satisfying 1.5-liter turbo engine. (Thankfully, this is a stand-alone option at all trim levels.) Finally, even moderately sized passengers will balk at the limited rear headroom afforded by the panoramic sunroof. It feels slower than rival powerplants, and its fuel-saving stop-start function is annoying in operation and cannot be disabled. We're also not huge fans of the standard turbocharged 1.5-liter engine. The high cost of entry is a theme that repeats since the Equinox is more expensive than competitors when comparing trims on a feature-by-feature basis. The next-level LS costs thousands more and doesn't add much. It's special-order only, so you're unlikely to find one on a dealer lot. Don't get thrown off by the seemingly affordable base L trim level, either. The Equinox is priced higher than many of its rivals, for instance. Things, however, fall apart in execution. We also like that the Equinox is one of the few entries in the class that offer an upgraded engine. It also delivers a smooth, comfortable ride, and the seats are shaped for all-day comfort. There's plenty of legroom all around, and cargo space is definitely better than what you'll find in a comparably priced sedan or hatchback. Certainly, the Chevrolet Equinox does the SUV thing well. If you choose to do this, you can take your letter to the post office and have them handle the postage. Some people prefer to mail letters directly through the post office. So, just like the recipient’s address, the return address should include your name or the sender’s name on the first line, the sender’s street address on the second line, and the sender’s city, state, and zip code on the third line. The sender’s address should usually look like this: Like the recipient’s address, the sender’s address is broken down into three pieces that are written on separate lines. The return address should be written in the upper left hand corner of the front of the envelope. Most of the time, the return address will be your home address. That way your letter-or your bill!-doesn’t just disappear. It’s called the return address because if the recipient can’t receive the letter for some reason, it will be returned to the sender. The return address is typically the same as the sender’s address. The return address is the other main piece of a properly addressed letter. (Basically it should end up where the red square is on this example!) Writing the Return Address The return address on your envelope should be in the top left corner. We’ll talk more about how to write more complicated addresses (like apartment buildings and PO boxes) a bit later. This is how you write the recipient’s address on an envelope when the recipient just has a basic residential address. On the bottom line, you write the recipient’s city and state, separated by a comma, and the recipient’s zip code at the end. Below that, you write the recipient’s street address. In the example address above, you see that the recipient’s name appears on the first line of the address. A properly formatted recipient’s address will look like this on an envelope: When you write the three parts of the recipient’s address, each part listed above gets its own line. The recipient’s city, state, and zip code.To write the recipient’s address properly, you need the following information: You write the recipient’s address horizontally and vertically centered, or right in the middle of the front side of the envelope. The recipient’s address is the address that you want your letter to be sent to. (FYI: there won't be a red square on your actual envelope.) Writing the Recipient’s Address The recipient's address goes in the center of your envelope, right in the red square. and cover how to address letters to Canada later. We’ll start with explaining how to address letters to recipients in the U.S. So what is the proper address format for a letter? There are three components to addressing an envelope: the recipient’s address, the return address, and the postage. Once you’ve checked to make sure your envelope is in the right position, you’re ready to start addressing it. You write and place your stamps on the front of an envelope. The front of an envelope is blank, and the back of an envelope has a flap and seal. The 260Z got a longer stroke and, though still oversquare, felt a great deal more torquey. This Z432 had 160bhp, but the ultimate Z was the 250bhp Z432-R racer, of which 362 were built. Japan had an even more revvy 2-litre for tax reasons, initially single-cam but later with the option of twin-cam with triple Mikuni twin-choke carbs. The 240 had an oversquare 2.4-litre straight-six that gave its best past 4000rpm. It was the concept of Yutaka Katayama and designed by Yoshihiko Matsuo, assisted by Akio Yoshida, with – at most – distant memories of a stillborn c1964 design by Goertz. We now know that the input of German stylist Albrecht Goertz into the 240Z has been overstated in the past. All of which made the Z very pleasant to live with, both everyday and for long-distance touring. It had plenty of interior and luggage space, a long-range fuel tank, good noise suppression and extremely comfortable, high-backed seats (pioneering integral head restraints), plus good heating and ventilation. The 125mph top speed and 8 secs 0-60mph time grabbed the headlines and pulled customers into showrooms, where they were then won over by the car’s attractive lines, quality build and great packaging. It’s hardly surprising: over there, it cost just 10% more than an MGB GT and offered so much more. It was targeted at the lucrative US market, then largely the preserve of British and Italian brands, and rapidly became the world’s best-selling sports car because the Americans couldn’t get enough. Even after we defeated all the monsters in a subsequent game session (with 1 tower remaining) he kept shouting with a big smile on his face “I know we won, but this game is impossible!” Jaden was the perfect person to do the video review of Castle Panic for our family because of how insistent he was that the game was impossible. If they take down all 6 towers, then you’re monster toast. (We love co-operative board games and are happy to see so many now available.) Party Panic is a crazy online and local-multiplayer party game. Garl will clear that part of the roof and use gunpowder to blow a hole in the roof. What you’re looking for is the pile of lumber that is directly overtop where the Solstice Warriors are fighting. Look around the roof to find a weak point that Garl can try to exploit. As Garl, climb the ladder in the middle of the hallway to reach the roof. The game will cut to the previously unseen hallway the party used to reach the dweller. He will task Garl with finding a way to let more light from the eclipse into the room. Repeat the process of powering up and using Solstice attacks until Headmaster Moraine mentions that they need more power from the eclipse and that the mansion’s roof is obstructing it. They will also heal the entire party sometimes. Mana-infused physical attacks don’t deal as much as special attacks, but they will do enough until you can restore your MP.Īs you take your turns, Brugaves and Erlina will take turns as well, either attacking with physical attacks, special attacks or combos. And when their MP is too low, use a few physical attacks to restore it while also creating Live Mana. This will add more turns to the boss’s attack, which gives you more chances to attack with Zale and Valere.Īll dwellers are extremely weak to Solstice magic, so use Zale and Valere’s special attacks whenever you can. One option to buy yourself more time dealing damage to the center bud is to use Seraï’s Disorient attack. Once it's open, you can have Zale and Valere collect the mana to supercharge their attacks with Solstice magic. Instead, leave them until the center bud opens again. Do not pick up the mana right away though. A good strategy for dealing with the flowers is to let Seraï attack them with a special attack that damages multiple enemies at once, then have Zale and Valere use physical attacks to generate Live Mana. When the flowers return, you must repeat the process of defeating them first to open the center bud. After a few turns, the center bud will heal the other flowers and close up again, so don’t waste your opportunities to strike. The Botanical Horror is weak to Solstice attacks, so use your special attacks on it whenever possible. You must defeat the four flowers to make the center part open its “eye.” With it open, you are free to deal damage. The upper flowers have their own special attacks and use Locks, so you will often need to focus on them to break their locks before it’s their turn.Īs mentioned, you can attack the center bud, but doing so will deal zero damage as long as the flowers are intact. The Botanical Horror has five body parts to attack with: the center bud and four flowers. Then, return to the left side of the room to find a knight statue without any headgear on it. Remove the helmet and replace it with the crown you found. This king is wearing a knight’s helmet though. Head to the other side of the room to find a statue of a king. Pick up the crown and go back down the ladder. The ghost itself doesn’t have any valuable information for you, but there is a crown lying on the floor in front of it. One of them will have Question Pack #3.Ĭlimb the ladder and walk toward the ghost. The ghost is at the top of the ladder on the room’s west side, but before you climb it, inspect the smaller bookcases to the southwest. Once you have all of the ingredients, give them to Garl so he can make the sandwich, then give the sandwich to the ghost so it will open the door that leads to the library.ĭefeat the SpellBooks and Waltzers to lift the curse on the library and to summon another ghost. Here is the recipe for the Master Sandwich: |
